David Kirk

Senior Advisor

David Kirk is the former chief scientist and vice president of architecture and research at Nvidia; he is currently an independent consultant.  Kirk has made significant contributions to graphics hardware and graphics algorithm research, and more recently has focused on computer science education, advancing parallel programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence.  

 

Kirk has a PhD in computer science from the California Institute of Technology, and has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and recipient of the IEEE Seymour Cray award.
